I’ve got quite a few public relations and social media conference speaking gigs coming up this Autumn (or Fall for my American friends).

I am delighted to be the forum moderator as well as participating in a panel debate on ‘Privacy and Publicity- flexible borderline and merging of the personal and professional ID’. The panel moderator is Maxim Behar, chairman of Hill+Knowlton Strategies in the Czech Republic and chairman of the M3 Communications Group in Bulgaria.

Communicate Best Practice Corporate Apps, London, October 10

This afternoon conference looks at how the tools corporate communicators and public relations professionals can use has expanded beyond websites to include dedicated corporate apps on Android, iOS and Windows 8. I’m moderating a panel on ‘The new best practice’ focusing on how technology choices are starting to set the agenda for professional practice. The panelists include Richard Carvalho, head of digital for Shell and Robert Wint, digital content and publishing director for Barclays. You can book here.

The Ninth Annual Symposium on Public Relations, Tehran, Iran, October 22-23

I’m particularly looking forward to spending a few days in Tehran where I’m presenting a paper on ‘Intelligent Public Relations’ to the ninth International Symposium on Public Relations, which is run in partnership with the International Public Relations Association.

Other speakers include: Jennifer Hardie, CEO, International School of Communications, Dubai; Roger Hayes, associate faculty at Henley Business School and senior counsellor at Apco Worldwide; Professor Manish Verma, National Institute of Fashion Technology, India; and Professor Kaja Tampere, Tallinn University, Estonia.

Sharing the future of the social web, Leeds Business Week, Leeds, September 26

And finally I’m speaking on a CIPR panel this week on my home turf in Leeds. It’s a panel discussion based around some of the content of Share This Too: More Social Media Solutions for PR Professionals. The panel is chaired by Gary Taylor, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire chair of the CIPR and the other panelists are: Dom Burch, head of social media at ASDA Walmart; Chris Norton, founder of Dinosaur PR; and Helen Standing (nee Gill), founding director of Engage Comms. This is a free event and there is still time to book on the Leeds Business Week website.

International PR and social media training courses

Over the next few months I’ve also got a number of open public relations and social media master classes in Accra (Ghana), Singapore and Manila (Philippines). Contact me if you’re interested in booking on to any of these two day courses.
