Social media newsrooms workshop at CIPR Social Summer

Social media newsrooms and modernised media relations is the title of the CIPR Social Summer seminar that I’m delivering on Thursday evening. It’s at the Russell Square headquarters of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and starts at 17:00.

28 June 2012 – Social Media Newsrooms

With Stuart Bruce, International Communications Consultant and Trainer at Stuart Bruce Associates @Stuartbruce

Public relations has changed dramatically since its birth in the early part of the 20th century. Stuart will discuss if the humble press release still has a role in the 21st century or has it been totally superseded by 140-character pitches on Twitter and video pitches on YouTube. He will also investigate the social media newsroom which has revolutionised the way the press consume coverage, as an archive and hub for even more content.
