Today The Lawyer has published an alternative ‘ranking’ of UK law firms based on their Klout scores. The main problem with it is that it is compiled using Klout and just looks at the ‘corporate’ social media premises, which by definition aren’t likely to be very social. Far more interesting would have been to have looked at the scores of individual lawyers and totalled/averaged them to get a real indication of how socially savvy each firm was.
UPDATE: Just seen UK law firms with Klout – a clearer picture on The Time Blawg, which has a far more detailed critique of the methodology and issues.
Agree with the comment re individual/firm use of Twitter. But for now, if you’re looking for complete and unspun social media metrics (Twitter, Klout, PeerIndex) for 400+ worldwide firms, see http://apps.fellsoft.com/SNMetrics
