Legal Week reports that London law firm Watson Farley & Williams “has launched the most fashionable law firm marketing initiative to date, by getting its trainees to write a weekly ‘weblog’ on the firm’s website.”
It’s a similar idea to what Cadbury Schweppes is already doing to aid graduate recruitment and is a smart move. Recruiting high calibre staff and trainees is difficult and this is one way for firm’s to stand out.
We pitched for the PR account of a major UK law firm earlier this week and part of our proposal were some pretty innovative social media ideas. That said for the near future it’s still going to be traditional media relations that is most important, but they can’t afford to ignore the issues and ideas that we raised.
