In August it will be the first anniversary of us setting up Bruce Marshall Associates LLP. One of the reasons we decided to go down the limited liability partnership route was that our long-term business plan includes recruiting and retaining consultants by providing the opportunity to become partners – in a similar model to solicitors or accountants.
We’ve now reached the stage where we’re looking to recruit. We’re not big on hierarchies and job titles but if we were it would be an account manager. What we’re looking for is:
> 2+ years PR experience – has to be B2B and could be technology, professional services, not-for-profit or public sector
> strong writing skills – you’ll be writing news releases, case studies, feature articles, white papers and blogs
> not afraid of technology – you don’t need to be an expert in IT but you need to be confident enough to get to grips with new stuff
> awareness and interest in social media such as blogs, podcasts etc
> keen interest in current affairs – you’re more than a bit of a news junkie
> you’ve got a social conscience – if I have to explain then you probably haven’t!
You’ll be based in Leeds/Wakefield in West Yorkshire but working with clients all over the UK.
