We’re hiring

In August it will be the first anniversary of us setting up Bruce Marshall Associates LLP. One of the reasons we decided to go down the limited liability partnership route was that our long-term business plan includes recruiting and retaining consultants by providing the opportunity to become partners – in a similar model to solicitors or accountants.

We’ve now reached the stage where we’re looking to recruit. We’re not big on hierarchies and job titles but if we were it would be an account manager. What we’re looking for is:

> 2+ years PR experience – has to be B2B and could be technology, professional services, not-for-profit or public sector

> strong writing skills – you’ll be writing news releases, case studies, feature articles, white papers and blogs

> not afraid of technology – you don’t need to be an expert in IT but you need to be confident enough to get to grips with new stuff

> awareness and interest in social media such as blogs, podcasts etc

> keen interest in current affairs – you’re more than a bit of a news junkie

> you’ve got a social conscience – if I have to explain then you probably haven’t!

You’ll be based in Leeds/Wakefield in West Yorkshire but working with clients all over the UK.

If you’re interested then get in touch ASAP by phone, email, Skype or IM (if you’re reading this in an RSS feed then all the details are on the blog at www.stuartbruce.biz) for a confidential chat. If you need to call outside of office hours then the phone will usually still be answered.

At this stage we don’t want to hear from recruitment consultancies.

  1. Yorkshire PR Company Seeks PR Professional

Bruce Marshall Associates is hiring a PR professional. Unfortunately, I could never apply for the job. Stuart Bruce is based in Yorkshire, and as I am from Lancashire, we’d never see eye to eye. 😉 But if you’re UK based,

  2. Stuart is a great PR guy so this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to learn while helping him to grow the business. Sounds like the chance to get in the ground floor of something that could really grow into a decent PR firm.

  3. After spending a week working with Stuart, I fully recommend anyone to apply for the job. It is an opportunity not to be missed and you are guaranteed to gain valuable experience.

  4. Thanks for that Matt – and anonymous. Matt did a great job during his placement week and is a good example of why every PR firm should be making a contribution back to the profession by supporting PR students with placements etc.
