UK Labour Party blog to debate future direction

I have often been critical, extremely critical, of the UK Labour Party's failure to get to grips with social media. But I have to say that it is now getting better and better every week.

The latest move announced by party chair Hazel Blears is a sort-of blog for Labour Party members and supporters to discuss the renewal of the party. On the face of it this is an excellent initiative. It isn't a blog in the strictest sense, but is a good example of how a blog is just a communications tool that can be used in a variety of ways, depending on your objectives.

DISCLAIMER: I am a Labour Party member.
